St Patrick's Athletic have announced that Cleveland Browns quarterback Joe Flacco is among a group of new investors in the League of Ireland club.
Flacco, who won a Super Bowl with the Baltimore Ravens alongside fellow investor Matt Birk, is part of the Kenosis Sports Group which also features former Minnesota Vikings player Chad Greenway and hockey player Anders Lee.
Later this month, St Pat's play MLS side Minnesota United in a friendly at Allianz Field in Saint Paul. The club worked with KSG on setting up the game. Pat's say this is a "first step" in their "expansion into the US".

"We are pleased to welcome Kenosis Sports Group including Joe Flacco, Chad Greenway, Matt Birk and Anders Lee, amongst others, as strategic investors in St Patrick's Athletic," club chairman Garrett Kelleher said in a statement.
"Joe, Chad, Matt and Anders have had decorated careers in the NFL and NHL and have a keen interest in football.
"We have been working with KSG, a subsidiary of Kenosis Capital, in setting our upcoming game versus Minnesota United on March 20th and believe this is the first step in St Patrick's Athletic's expansion into the US."
St Pat's have endured a terrible start to the new League of Ireland season. After winning their opening game against Galway, they have lost three consecutive games, including a 3-1 defeat to Waterford on Monday night.
